New Super Troops

Ice Hound

Home Village | Super Troops | Ice Hound

The Ice Hound is a powered-up version of the regular Lava Hound.

Compared to the regular troop, the Ice Hound has around 20% more Hit Points, uses 40 housing spaces instead of 30 and has the same movement speed.

December 2020 Update Sneak Peek #6: The Ice Hound!

The Ice Hound Special Ability is what makes him very special and powerful, which as you can imagine, has some pretty cool freezing features: it slows down the enemies and defenses it attacks, and upon death drops a Freeze Spell.

To unlock the Ice Hound you must have at least a level 5 Lava Hound, which requires a Town Hall 12. The upgrade costs 25.000 Dark Elixir and lasts for 3 days.

Super Wizard

Home Village | Super Troops | Super Wizard

The Super Wizard is a powered-up version of the regular Wizard.

Compared to the regular Wizard, the Super Wizard runs slightly faster, is around 2x stronger, and uses 10 housing spaces instead of 4.

December 2020 Update Sneak Peek #5:

The Super Wizard Special Ability called Chain Magic is what makes him so special and cool.

The Super Wizard can target only a single building at a time with his bolt, but once it hits that building, the bolt splits and targets all surrounding buildings.

To power-up your Wizard, transforming him on a Super Troop, you must have a regular Wizard level 9 or higher, which requires a Town Hall 12.

New Siege Machine: The Log Launcher

Home Village | Siege Machines | Log Launcher

This Log Launcher is a brand new Siege Machine, a vehicle that shoots logs while slowly moves to the center of the village carrying Clan Castle troops.

It is unlocked once you upgrade your Siege Workshop to level 5. For this reason, it can only be built by Town Hall 13 users, but it can be donated to level 6 and higher Clan Castles, which requires a Town Hall 10.

It makes splash damage (area damage) on all buildings on the log path and makes 4x damage against walls, taking 5 logs to destroy a maxed Wall.

Home Village | Siege Machines | Log Launcher

The Launcher has a range of 20 tiles or 4 buildings. To prevent the Log Launcher from destroying defenses from very far away and making it super OP, the log will be destroyed after the 4th building.

New Spell: Invisibility

Home Village | Spells: Elixir | Invisibility Spell

The Invisibility Spell is an Elixir Spell unlocked by upgrading the Spell Factory to level 6, which requires a Town Hall level 11.

Sneak Peek #3: Invisibility Spell, New Levels, Balance Changes

The Invisibility Spell creates a green ring on the battlefield where all troops AND defenses inside will be invisible.

While invisible, troops and buildings can't be targeted. The defenses will simply stop working, while the troops will ignore all invisible defenses and move forward as if they were not there.

While inside the spell, troops can still target buildings that are outside the spell.

This spell does not affect Siege Machines and Walls. All other units, including Heroes, will be affected.

New Magic Item: Super Potion

Sneak Peek: Super Troops Changes & New Magic Item!

The Super Potion is a brand new Magic Item that lets you boost a Super Troops instead of spending the required Dark Elixir. Each Super Potion will boost a Super Troop for 3 days. Super Potions will be available as a reward from Clan Games, and will also sell at the Trader for 300 Gems.

December 2020 Season Challenges Starts Today: Winter Champion + Free Skins + Ice Wizard (???)

Guess who might be coming back this Christmas? The Ice Wizard!

We can clearly see the Ice Wizard on the Winter Champion promo video, so get ready, we might get this temporary troop again this Christmas!

Happy Logmas Clashers! On the second YouTube Promo video about the Christmas Tree, Supercell showed the history of The Log, explained what made it so angry and how it became the 2020 Christmas Tree!

Game Changes

Wars

  • When creating a Friendly War, you can now select whether the war will allow 1 or 2 attacks per player

Balance Changes

  • Scattershot hit speed has been increased from 3.036 to 3.228 seconds and DPS has been reduced by 10.
  • Scattershot HP has been increased
    • Level 1: 3000 to 3600
    • Level 2: 3500 to 4200

Gameplay

  • At the end of a battle, if a Hero’s ability remains unused, the Hero will heal the amount of HP they would normally recover from using their ability. This will help reduce the Hero’s downtime, allowing them to be ready much sooner!
  • When editing your base, Home Village Wall segments can now be swapped with other Wall segments, just like Buildings and Traps;
  • Cannon Carts will retarget after being pushed back if their target is not within range anymore;
  • Units will now have more accurate line of sight calculation to help with pathing.
  • Lightning Spell will no longer have any effect on the Clan Castle. Like the Elixir and Gold Storage buildings, Lightning Spell will cause no damage to the Clan Castle.

Season Challenges

  • You can now opt to receive 5 Gems instead of a Resource reward if your Storages do not have enough space.
  • The requirements for some Builder Base tasks in Clan Games and Season Challenges have been reduced in order to bring them more inline with Home Village tasks.
  • The Rewards Road of the Season Challenges now has some quick access buttons to allow easier navigation to the earliest unlocked but unclaimed reward.

Supercell ID

  • Young players are now able to create a Supercell ID for their account by providing the email address of a trusted adult or guardian.

Misc

  • A new Cosmetics tab has been added to the in-game Shop, where you can browse and purchase any permanently available cosmetics such as Hero Skins when they become available for Gems.

Super Troop Changes

Boost Duration Reduced

Super Troop boost duration has been reduced from 7 days down to 3 days. Once you've boosted a Super Troop, you're no longer bound to that Super Troop for an entire week, allowing you to use different ones more frequently!

Lower Cost

With a shorter duration, come lowered costs! The Dark Elixir cost for boosting Super Troops has been reduced to 25,000 Dark Elixir for each Super Troop.

Two Troops at The Same Time

You can now boost up to TWO Super Troops at a time! That's right! Want to try that Super Witch + Super Wall Breaker combo without having to rely on Clan Castle donations? Now you can!

Regular + Super Troop

The normal version of a Troop can now be trained alongside their Super Troop version! Imagine the different attack strategies!
