"The Dark Barracks will open doors for creatures born out of Dark Elixir. Upgrade the barracks to unlock more troops with unique battle skills."
Dark Barracks is where you can train troops that require Dark Elixir.
Upgrading Dark Barracks allows them to train new troops. Each specific level unlocks a new Dark Elixir troop.
During upgrades, the specific Dark Barrack can't be used. If you upgrade all of them at the same time you will not be able to train any Dark Elixir troop at all.
Once the troop is trained he will leave the Barracks and move to the Army Camps.
You can queue extra troops on the Barracks as well. The queue capacity is 2 times your Army Camp capacity. All troops will be trained, but only the first half (120) will go to the Army Camps. For example, if you have 120 hosing space capacity on your Army Camps, you can queue 240 troops on your Barracks.
This is very useful as it allows you to train 2 armies. Once you attack and use the troops from the Army Camp, all queued troops already trained on the Dark Barracks will leave to the Army Camps. This is very useful as you can have 2 complete armies ready to be used.
The troop production can be boosted by a rate of 4 using Gems or the Training Potion. For 30 Gems you can boost the troop production, which will boost all Barracks and Dark Barracks. Boosting with the Training Potion will boost all training buildings including Dark Barracks, Spell Factory, Dark Spell Factory, Siege Machine Workshop, and Heroes regeneration.
Queued troops on the Dark Barracks can be canceled at any time and the Dark Elixir spent will be 100% refunded. Once the troop left the Dark Barrack to Army Camps it can still be dismissed but without any refund.
The training time of the troops is based on how many barracks capable of training that specific troop is available.
For example, training a Golem takes 10 minutes. However, if both Dark Barracks are available (not being upgraded) and can train the Golem (based on their level), the training time is reduced by 2, taking 5 minutes to complete the training.
If one Barrack is currently being upgraded, it will not work and the training time will be increased.
