Dragon Explained
Dragon is high health, high damage flying unit.
His attack is ranged (3 tiles) and deals splash damage to a very short area (0.3 tiles) and it's capable of targeting both air and ground units.
Dragons don't have a preferred target and will always aim for the closest building.
How to Use Dragons
Dragons are usually used in large quantities of mass dragon attacks.
The best spell to use with mass Dragons is Rage. Dragons are powerful but quite slow and Rage Spell can give your attack a huge boost. Haste can also be used and works great.
It's recommended to use the spells at the beginning of the attack when all Dragons are still alive so more units will be affected by the spells.
Before the attack, it's always a good idea to take out at least one Air Defense. This can be done with Lightning Spells or with Heroes. Destroying 2 Air Defenses will give your attack a huge boost!
Since Dragons don't have a preferred target, you don't really have to worry with Clan Castle troops, but they can still create a big distraction to your Dragons. So if possible, it's always a great idea to kill the Clan Castle troops with your Heroes before the actual attack.
Dragon is a great troop to add to your defense Clan Castle. Dragons can target both ground and air units, so they can effectively defend your base against all types of attacks.
