Miner Explained

Miner is a low health and medium damage unit.

He has the special ability to bury himself underground and bypass walls, making his gameplay similar to the Hog Rider, since both can bypass walls.

While moving underground, Miners don't trigger traps, but they will activate them when they go up to attack a building.

While underground, they can't take damage from defenses, making them invincible while moving.

Differently from Hog Riders, Miners don't have a preferred target and will always destroy the closest building.

How to Use Miners

With low health and medium damage, Miners are commonly used in large groups. Taking only a couple of Miners will not be effective at all.

Since they can't be targeted by defenses while underground, the faster they destroy the building and go back underground, the better, for this reason, mass Miners work great.

Always plan your attack to keep them together; if they spread out over the village, they will be quickly killed, and it will be harder to boost them with spells.

Since they target all buildings and don't have much health, mass Miners are usually used on two-step attacks. First, the attacker destroys all useless buildings outside the walls (usually with Queen Walk) and then deploys the Miners.

Watch out for the Bomb Tower. Once the Bomb Tower is destroyed it leaves a Giant Bomb that will explode before the Miners butty themselves underground again. This change was done mainly to nerf Miners as they were too strong, so always watch out to Bomb Towers.

Miners work great with Rage, but they are mostly used with Healing Spell, just as Hog Riders. This Spell can fully regenerate their health within seconds, giving them a long life boost.
