    Wall Breaker

Nothing warms a Wall Breaker's cold and undead heart like blowing up walls. A squad of them will make way for your ground units, and they will do it with a BANG!

Wall Breaker is a Clash of Clans troop that can be trained with Elixir.

He is unlocked by upgrading a Barrack to level 5, which requires a Town Hall level 3.

    Wall Breaker Explained

Wall Breakers is a very low health Skeleton with a special ability to explode themselves when they reach walls.

They are the only unit on the game that prioritizes walls over any other building. However, they don't run towards any wall segment, they will always look for the closest building protected by walls. Once they reach the wall, they will explode. For this reason, they will skip a single segment of walls and walls with an open gap.

The explosion makes splash damage and can affect 2 rows walls if they are close together. For this reason, double walls are not recommended anymore.

The damage from the bomb is quite low but it is multiplied by 40 when reaching a wall, making them very useful to destroy walls and nothing more.

    Damage vs Death Damage

    caption=

The primary purpose of the Wall Breaker and explode, causing damage on the explosion. However, starting on the Autumn 2020 update, the Wall Breaker makes 2 types of damage: Damage and Death Damage.

    • Damage is caused by the Wall Breaker killing himself when he reaches the wall.
    • Death Damage is done when the Wall Breaker gets killed before reaching any wall segment.

Even tough both damages are multiplied by 40 against walls, as you level up your Wall Breaker the Death Damage starts to get significantly lower than the regular damage, so it gets more important to actually hit the walls for a massive damage.

    Jump Spell

Go ahead and jump! Might as well jump!

The Wall Breakers now can jump walls when used with the Jump Spell! How safe can this be? Well, if running with a bomb is not dangerous enough, now they will jump the walls when inside the radius of the Jump Spell.

This is a great change as now we can "infiltrate" Wall Breakers easier inside the village. They now can easily bypass the first layer of walls and keep running inside the village.

However, is this a good tactic? We are not so sure. The longer the Wall Breaker has to run to explode any wall segment, the more likely they will get killed on the way.

Even though they do Death Damage, the recommendation is to still use Wall Breakers on the first layer of walls of the village and save the Jump Spell for the second and third layer. Running inside the village will make them a very easy target to multi-target defenses such as the Giga Tesla, Giga Inferno, Inferno Towers and Wizard Towers. Running long distances will also make them more susceptible to be hit by long-range defenses such as the Mortars and Eagle Artillery.

    How to Use Wall Breakers

Wall Breakers are a very useful troop, but its use can be quite tricky if you don't plan correctly.

The big problem of the Wall Breakers is their extremely low health. They can easily be destroyed by all defenses that make splash damage: Wizard Towers, Mortars, and even traps.

For this reason, Wall Breakers can't be released alone. First, you should always deploy other troops to distract the defenses and make the path safe for them.

Since traps can easily kill them, it is recommended to release just a single Wall breaker first to search for traps.

Wall Breakers are always released in small groups. You must always find out how many Wall Breakers you need to destroy the specific wall level you want. There is no reason to send 10 all Breakers if only 3 could do the job. However, it might be a good idea to send one extra unit just in case a single-target defense kills one of them.

Multi-target Inferno Towers can easily destroy hordes of Wall Breakers, so use Wall Breakers near them unless you have a plan. There are two ways to make them survive long enough to explode the walls: you can use a Freeze Spell on the Inferno, or you can send 5 high health troops to distract all Inferno Tower flames. This can be easily done with Giants.

Rage Spell works great with Wall Breakers. It makes them even more powerful and reduces the number of Wall Breakers required to destroy walls.
