The last Clash of Clans update was released exact 7 days ago, and as we always do here on House of Clashers, now it's time to find out all the hidden changes from the 2019 Christmas Update!
Some of these changes were too small to appear on the Sneak Peeks but were announced on the final patch notes, but we still have some changes that were completely unannounced.
Here are 12 changes that you (probably) didn't know:
- 1. Village Preview
- 2. New Icons
- 3. Clan Members Count
- 4. New Scattershot Achievement
- 5. Treasury Increased
- 6. Battle Blimp Death Damage
- 7. Loot Increase
- 8. Decoration
- 9. Lava Hound Defense Nerf
- 10. Healer Improved Stats
- 11. Warden AI Improvements
- 12. 2019 Christmas Tree
The October (Halloween) Update introduced a new Profile Page that removed the Village Preview. Now this feature is back and you can see the villages without visiting them.
Dozens of new (and better) icons were added to the game. You can see them on the stats and Season Challenges pages.
When visiting a clan info page now you can see how many clan members the clan has.
The new defense Scattershot came with a new achievement: Shattered and Scattered.
The level 3 achievement rewards 1,000 Gems and required 4,000 Scattershots to be destroyed.
The Clan Castle Treasury capacity was increased on all levels.
A Town Hall 12 on a Clan level 10 could store 4,650,000 Gold/Elixir, this number was raised to 5,400,000.
The brand new Town Hall 13 now can store up to 6,000,000 Gold/Elixir.
Battle Blimp has been the most unpopular Siege Machine for a while, but this update might change it. Now the Battle Blimp causes damage when destroyed!
Even if you are not upgrading to Town Hall 13, the amount of loot you can lose on defenses were increased.
The amount of loot on Town Hall 12 was increased: +50,000 of Gold/Elixir and 500 of Dark Elixir. This will make stealing easier to Town Hall 12 clashers, making easier to max everything and upgrade to Town Hall 13.
Decorations can now be placed on the outer edges of the map.
It is also no longer necessary to place all decorations in every layout. For example it's possible to have a decoration only in the Home Village layout but not in the War Base layout.
On a very small note Supercell announced a small change on the Lava Hound that will nerf him on defense: explode radius decreased from 5 tiles to 3.5 tiles.
On offense this might not change much, but on defense it will be much easier to use the Poison Spell and kill all Lava Pups without issues.
The Healers have a different heal rate on Heroes and regular troops. It has been like this for a while, but now we can see how much heal it makes on the stats page.
Many clashers thought this was a nerf, but it wasn't as this change on Heroes was done a long time to prevent extreme Queen Walks and Hero Walks. The actual Hero Heal was even increased on Level 5 from 44 to 48.
The Grand Warden IA was improved on this update. Now it is a bit less likely to follow Lava Hounds and will retarget if he's attacking a wall and his group has died.
To finish the Christmas Hidden Changes guide, here is the 2019 Christmas tree that started spawning right after the update! Did you get yours already?
Merry Christmas and Clash On!
