Valkyrie

Valkyrie is a Clash of Clans troop trained with Dark Elixir.

She is unlocked by upgrading the Dark Barrack to level 3, which requires a Town Hall level 8.

Valkyrie Explained

Valkyries are a melee troop that makes 360º splash damage spinning a massive double-bladed axe.

Capable of doing damage in all directions, she likes to place her attack in the middle of enemy buildings to do damage to multiple targets at the same time. However, with a range of only 0.5 tiles, the buildings must be close together.

She has high health, does great damage, and it's one of the fastest troops on the game.

With all these characteristics combined, she loves to run straight into the enemy buildings leading the attack to perform her "spin attack." However, she might end up being killed quite easily as she is not as strong as a Golem of P.E.K.K.A to lead an attack.

How to Use Valkyries

Even though she enjoys running forward to make her "spin attack," it's not recommended to let her lead an entire attack because she will be easily killed, even though she has a fair amount of health.

For this reason, she is mostly used as a support troop during the attack. First, the attacker clears the buildings around the village and prepare the funneling. Once the path is clear to the core of the village the Valkyries can be deployed, running straight to the core of the village.

Due to the nature of her attack, players usually like to use her in small groups (5~10) to take down strong buildings and even Heroes even faster. Mass Valk attacks are not popular.

She is also a great troop to carry on Siege Machines. If she is dropped directly in the middle of the village, she can easily destroy many buildings, including the Town Hall, within seconds. However, the level 5 Giga Tesla explosion can ruin your attack, killing them.

She is also a great troop to have on your Clan Castle to defend your base.

She works great with Rage and Healing Spells.
