Unlocked on Town Hall 15, it was added to the game with the in 2022 with the Town Hall 15 update.

Spell Tower Explained

The Spell Tower is a versatile ground defense that can target both ground and air troops.

This innovative tower stands out due to its ability to cast a variety of Spells, impacting the battlefield in multiple ways. Its Spells can directly damage enemy troops, slow down their movement, or even completely freeze them, making it a formidable addition to any village's defenses.

The tower also has defensive spells to protect your troops during an enemy attack, such as healing spells to recover injured troops, boosting their attack speed, or summoning additional troops for defense. This blend of offensive and defensive capabilities in a single building is what makes the Spell Tower a unique and strategic element in Clash of Clans​​​​.

Range

The Spell Tower covers a range of 8 tiles, with a footprint of 2x2 tiles.

It targets individual units, focusing its spell effects on a specific target or area at a time.

This relatively wide range for a defense tower allows it to be effective over a significant portion of your village, offering both direct and indirect support to your defensive strategy​​.

Upgrading

When upgrading the Spell Tower, its capabilities are significantly enhanced. At each level, the tower unlocks a new type of spell.

• Level 1 enables the casting of a Rage Spell, boosting nearby defenses and units.
• Level 2 introduces the Poison Spell, which targets nearby enemies.
• Level 3, it gains the ability to cast an Invisibility Spell, concealing nearby defensive units and buildings.

Each level also increases the tower's hitpoints, starting from 2,500 at level 1 and reaching 3,100 at level 3, enhancing its durability on the battlefield​​​​.
