Goblin

Goblin is a Clash of Clans troop that can be trained with Elixir.

He is unlocked by upgrading a Barrack to level 4, which requires a Town Hall level 2.

Goblin Explained

Goblin is the only troop on the game with a preferred target of resources. As long as there is one resource building standing in the village, he will go for it.

He makes double damage to these buildings, being very effective in stealing resources.

Since the Town Hall also stores resources, the Goblins will target it.

The Goblins, among Archers and Barbarians, uses only a single housing space, being one of the simplest troops on the game. They all are very weak, cheap, make very low damage, and are commonly used by low-level players only at the beginning of the game.

How to Use Goblins

Even though they can steal resources really fast, they have very low hitpoints and can be used only by low-level players on regular attacks.

On higher Town Halls, Goblins can be used to help to destroy buildings left behind when you used an army that targets defenses (Hog Riders and Balloons for example). With the defenses destroyed, they can quickly destroy resource buildings.

Since he uses only a single housing space, he can also be used to test for traps and to lure troops out of the Clan Castle.
